Licence Activation

The BizTalk Message Archiving Component is installed by default without a licence key. To obtain a licence key, download a trial version of the component, or purchase a Developer or Server Licence Key; a Trial, Developer or Server licence key is required to use the component. To activate a licence follow the instructions below.

Activating a Trial Licence

A Trial Licence Key will be e-mailed to you after you complete the download registration process.

Important: A Trial Licence Key is only valid for thirty days; the download registration e-mail that contains your Trial Licence Key provides information on its expiry date.

1. Copy the Trial Licence Key from the licence key e-mail*:

2. Launch the Customer Licencing Activation Manager application ('clam.exe') as a user with Administrative previledges, and paste the Trial Licence Key into the Activate Licence section:

3. Click Activate Licence to activate the Trial Licence Key.

Activating a Developer or Production Server Licence

Activation of a Developer or Production Server Licence is a two stage process. Because these licences are machine specific, this process must be repeated on each machine where the component will run.

Important: If you move the Archiving Component to another Developer workstation or server, contact us at licencing@atomic-scope.com and we will issue you with a new licence key.

1. Launch the Customer Licencing Activation Manager application ('clam.exe') as a user with Administrative previledges:

Copy the Machine Information Code (highlighted above) and send to licencing@atomic-scope.com, indicating whether this is a code for a Developer or Production Server licence. Repeat this step for each machine that requires a licence.

Important: Ensure that you copy the Machine Information Code code exactly as displayed in the Customer Licencing Activation Management application. This code is used to generate the Developer / Production Server Licence Key and any errors in this code will cause an invalid licence key to be created.

Once we have received your e-mail, licence keys will be sent by e-mail. Please note that this process can take upto 24 hours.

2. Copy the Licence Key from the licence key e-mail*:

Launch the Customer Licencing Activation Manager application, and paste the Licence Key into the Activate Licence section:

3. Click Activate Licence to activate the Licence Key.
