Straightforward Archiving
Using the component is straightforward: simply drop into a receive pipeline (Decode or Resolve Party stages) or send pipeline (Pre-Assemble or Encode stages) and configure. No need for complex archiving Send Ports and their ongoing management. Any messages that now pass through the pipeline will be archived, including Xml, flat-file or binary messages. |

Fast & Efficient Message Processing
The BizTalk Message Archiving Component is the most efficient way to archive messages in BizTalk. The component uses the highly efficient streaming model to ensure the fastest possible archiving speed combined with the smallest possible memory-footprint when processing both large and small messages. If you currently use Send Ports to archive messages, each message must be written to the BizTalk Message Box, before being sent to the archiving Send Port; this requires additional processing and I/O on your SQL Server. In contrast, the BizTalk Message Archiving Component archives messages as they are read by BizTalk itself, requiring no additional overhead or processing. |

Dynamic Filename Construction from Message Context-Properties
The directory and filename of the archived message are generated at run-time based on message Context-Properties. All out-of-the-box BizTalk & LOB adapter context-properties are supported. New in version 1.1: The BizTalk Message Archiving Pipeline Component now supports custom 'user-defined' properties, allowing you to construct archive filenames based on properties defined in your own schemas. |

Archive to Multiple Endpoints
Messages can be archived to multiple endpoints, including the local file-system, UNC shares and mapped-drives. Archived messages are therefore easy to find, view and index. Further archiving endpoints are planned in future versions, including the ability to archive to SQL Server. |

The BizTalk Message Archiving Pipeline Component runs on all versions of the latest generation of BizTalk Server, including BizTalk Server 2006, BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and BizTalk Server 2009 without any reconfiguration.
